Activating Your Family Archives

Iā€™m thrilled to be presenting this workshop as a part of the Transformative Language Arts Network (TLAN) Power of Words conference. Join me there to explore the written, spoken and sung word to find how it can bring liberation, celebration and transformation within our communities. Network with writers, storytellers, performers, musicians, health professionals, educators, and change-makers to connect with those who share your passion of making a difference with words.

Activating Your Family Archives is designed for the family historian who is stuck, overwhelmed or wants a new direction in how to present their family archive. We will use techniques of autoethnography, expressive writing and juxtaposition/collage to help participants to find new ways into their family archives, explore their own relationship to the tangible past, and reflect upon what their archive means to the present and future generations.
